Those who know me personally will know I spend a fair amount of my life teetering on burnout. Move is my creative response to that: a loud, shiny gold reminder against earthy, grounding colours. A visual cue to tell me that it’s OK to just stop for more than five minutes.

The joke is, I painted this when I was absolutely meant to be prioritising house renovations, while doing a coaching course, somehow holding down a full-time job and walking my dog in whatever time was left. The urge to paint was all too consuming.

I’m still working on the whole slowing-down thing, but I loved having this visual reminder that sometimes I really do just need to stop.

This beauty draped in fairy lights*  is not for me to keep. Move will be exhibited at the Worthing Art Trail before being ready to ship from October 2026.

I recommend putting Move somewhere you need to slow down, feel guilty for relaxing, or just need reminding that you can stop.

Alternatively, ignore your own advice, flip the bird and go do too much anyway because you like it.
